Get Up. Stand Up. Stand Up For Your Rights

So PR Dad has a little activist in him. And apparently it comes out when he feels like he has been done wrong. See about 6 weeks are so ago PR Dad entered this competition at his work. Everyone in their building was given the opportunity to join a "Biggest Loser" type of contest. Seeing a way to motivate him to lose weight, PR Dad paid his $10 and dove right in. We ate a lot of grilled chicken and steamed vegetables. He took a lot of walks and jogs and on Monday was the last official weigh in. So on Monday he went in to find out that he had lost over 35 pounds and 15.3% of his body weight. Check out his before and afters.....

Hands off ladies! This man is MINE! So yea he lost a crap load of weight and we are really really proud of him. So we thought he had the contest in the bag. The winner received a cash prize! So we were very disappointed to hear that someone else had won. A night security guard who had lost over 40 pounds. Until we found out that this guy had his last weigh in on Wednesday. 2 days after the last official day. Then we were pissed. There were weigh in throughout the contest and all of his were after the official weigh in date. PR Dad did not think this was fair. So much that he gave back his second place money and prizes. (He did keep his $10) He did not want to be part of something that was not run fairly. He was so upset, because he had worked so hard and had followed all the rules. Most times going in on his days off for the official weigh ins. They bent the rules for one person and that is not fair for everyone else involved. So despite the fact that he gave back a bag full of Starbucks, coffee, cups and gift certificates, I stand by my man, because he is right. It was not fair. And if we are anything here are PR Parents, we are fair.

So The Phi and I made him our own winning Certificate. We told him we were so proud and we knew he was the real winner and "screw those other guys". Because he will always be the "Biggest Loser" to us!!!

  6. That's really great! Too bad the rest didn't play by the rules but I'm sure he feels great and that's better than a gift certificate to Starbucks! :)

  7. Oh, tell him to piss off 35 pounds in 6 weeks. I could eat nothing but bamboo bark and still gain weight.

    I HATE him. :)

I hate men and how it's easier for them to lose weight! This isn't implying that he didn't work hard, I'm just saying...
